Letter from the President

Dartmouth Class of 2014

If you keep your eyes open enough, oh, the stuff you will learn. Oh, the most wonderful stuff.

— Dr. Seuss

Dear ’14s,

It is such an honor for me to serve as class president of the great class of 2014. Seeing many of you—over 550 attendees!—over Reunions weekend was so heartwarming and galvanizing; our class is made up of kind, hardworking, and inspiring people, and it was absolutely incredible seeing so many smiles and feeling the genuine joy that people had to be back in Hanover.
Additionally, last year was an phenomenal year for class giving; our class raised $112,535 with a 48% participation rate. Also, because we had over 45% participation, and anonymous donor gave $100,000 in our class’s name to create an endowed scholarship! Thank you so much for your generosity and support to make Dartmouth affordable for future students. We are excited to continue with this momentum in 2019-2020.

Our first five years out of college was full of getting our bearings, starting new jobs, new schools, and making new relationships, and the next five years will be full of immense change as well as we work to become more established in our academic, professional, and/or personal lives. What I hope is that our class continues to serve as a space of support and connection as we continue going through various changes and new experiences over the next five years. Through newsletters, the class notes of the Alumni Magazine, and the 2014 social media pages, our 2019-2024 Class Executive Committee will continue to keep the class connected with each other. Additionally, we hope to strategically develop new initiatives that allows us to bolster our relationships with the College. We look forward to your input and support as we work to keep our class close, connected, and enthusiastically committed to each other and Dartmouth.

The Class Executive Committee has so much respect and appreciation for our classmates, and we thank you for entrusting us with these responsibilities. We are excited to serve you and the College
Enjoy the rest of the summer, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or suggestions!

All the best,

Jessica Womack
